Ricoh launches TotalFlow Make Ready and TotalFlow Print Manager software at Druck+Form, Germany
Oct 12, 2011 Ricoh Europe PLC today launched two new additions to its TotalFlow workflow suite. Developed exclusively by Ricoh, the Make Ready and Print Manager software give print service providers affordable, ease-of-entry tools to streamline production operations. Both modules can be purchased individually or bundled for enhanced affordability. They will be demonstrated for the first time in Europe at Druck+Form, held at the Messe Sinsheim, Germany, Hall 6, Stand 6508, from October 12 to 15.

“As businesses continue to focus on maximising efficiency and streamlining workflow processes, in-house CRD printing and print for pay operations need more effective ways to increase automation and reduce the time and costs associated with print production. With TotalFlow’s modular approach, users only need to purchase the tools required for their business needs. Then as print operations or demand grows, new TotalFlow modules can easily be added to further enhance their productivity and efficiency,” said Peter Williams, Executive Vice-President of Ricoh Europe PLC and Head of Production Printing Business Group.

TotalFlow Make Ready (TotalFlow MR) and TotalFlow Print Manager (TotalFlow PM) provide a full range of document imposition and composition capabilities that enable Ricoh Pro™ digital press users to increase their productivity, grow their operations and meet their clients’ needs more effectively. These capabilities include print preparation, editing, numbering, watermarking, clean-up, finishing, job management, queue management, archiving, search and reprinting.

“With TotalFlow MR and TotalFlow PM we bring Ricoh customers the most affordable means to gain increasing value from their investments with us. Both tools feature an intuitive user interface that has been optimised for the operators of Ricoh Pro™ digital presses. Combined with Ricoh professional services such as an on-site survey, current workflow analysis and workflow integration services, users will receive a quick, seamless installation that meets their specific needs. And they can enjoy the benefits of improved, streamlined productivity from day one,” added Williams.

Features summary:

* TotalFlow MR. A print production workflow module that handles complex print jobs; receives, proofs, edits or approves files online; and reduces pre-production time. As print buyers expect faster turnaround, higher quality and more capabilities from their internal and external print suppliers, TotalFlow MR helps to accelerate the make ready process. It is a very simple way to compose documents with chapters and tabs, and to create folded flyers and booklets. With TotalFlow MR, complex jobs are faster, with reduced cost and errors within the make ready process.
* TotalFlow PM. Provides printing operations with robust queue management that simplifies print management across multiple printers or output channels. It accurately tracks job receipt, status and errors, cutting costs and saving valuable time. This provides organisations and businesses with exceptional control of what, when and how they produce and deliver information. It helps them control the costs of printing and document delivery, simplify complex output management from multiple operating systems, and unify and automate print, email and web distribution, regardless of the type of documents being produced. TotalFlow PM is ideal for production environments of all sizes, but is especially attractive for small- to mid-sized operations looking for an entry-level solution that allows increased control over the flow of jobs.

TotalFlow MR and TotalFlow PM will be available for ordering and installation in Europe in December. Ricoh will also demonstrate TotalFlow MR and TotalFlow PM at drupa 2012, Dusseldorf, Germany in Hall 8a, 3 to 16 May. Visit www.ricoh-europe.com for news and updates.
