Ricoh launches new MFD colour range
With a further three workgroup devices announced, the Aficio 3200 series comprises five colour MFDs to suit any office situation.
The fastest in the pack is the Aficio 3245C. Ideal for workgroups and small departments, the output of the fully featured A3+ MFD is 35 pages per minute (ppm) in colour and 45ppm in black and white. Other devices in the range include the AF3224C and AF3232C for small workgroups followed by the mid range AF3228C and AF3235C.
With a faster processor than previous versions, higher memory and engine improvements, each device takes just 99 seconds to warm up and boast faster continuous copy and print speeds. The AF3245C takes just six seconds to rip and print its first black and white copy, and eight seconds for a full colour job.
Ricoh’s latest models include a new polymerised superfine toner, providing improved image resolution and consistent quality. Image processing has also been refined to ensure colour accuracy.
This superior output quality enables companies to generate high-quality marketing material for less than it would cost to outsource to a specialist printer. Further keeping costs in check, Ricoh’s User Code Access facility can restrict access to colour printing to only those staff authorised to use it.
Security has also been enhanced with data encryption and HDD Data Overwrite systems. Utilising technology developed by the US Department of Defence, the AF3200 protects against hackers. The optional HDD Data Overwrite system ensures further protection by erasing a document’s footprint from the device’s hard drive.
