Ricoh is pleased to announce the availability of the DWG/DXF/DWF option for the RW-240 Controller used with the Aficio 240W. Adding this option to the RW-240 Controller can greatly improve your customers’ workflow. (This option is already available for the RW-480 Controller). Some of the smaller wide format companies that are your wide format customers may not be aware of the advantages this option provides. Please review option highlights below:
Option Overview:
The DWG, DXF and DWF are AutoDesk native file formats created in their AutoCAD application. This new option features the following:
Users can scan hard copy documents through the RW-240 Controller’s SCANTOOL option directly to the DWF format.
These DWF documents are open, secure and greatly compressed over other native file formats-so they are smaller, easily and quickly transmitted by email.
Recipients of DWF files can view, review, or print these files without having to have the AutoCAD application resident on their PC.
In addition, with this option end users can also directly print the AutoCAD’s native DWG, DXF as well as DWF file formats without having the AutoCAD application.
