Only issue with the extended warranty is that the most likely items to fail on the IWB's are the Controller and Touchscreen.

You might as well replace the whole thing if the Touchscreen goes south and the Controller is $1,500+.

You are going to be upside down if you have any repairs.

In my opinion, Ricoh should be like Sharp, in that as the manufacturer, Sharp offers extended warranties.  These are not inexpensive items, and should have extended support.

Without an extended warranty from Ricoh,  it kind of becomes an expensive throw away device with a 3yr guaranteed lifespan.
