Getting light copies. If I add toner manually it will get dark for a few copies. The toner motor is actually moving. I think the toner motor is bad. I just wanted to know if there's anything else that would cause this. What are the quirks of this machine. Also, if you have a part number for the motor i would really appreciate it.

That machine was notorious for that problem. I really don't know if there was a permanent fix for it though. If someone forced me to work on that problem and money was no object, I would replace drum and blade,developer,drum bearing,charge wire and grid,run set up for drum and developer, adjust sp 33 to darkest. They had problem with erase lamps not coming on also, sapped all toner out of dev and filled waste toner tank and caused light copies. Or, do customer a huge favor and sell them something.Mr 4415 is 13 years old and needs a long rest.
