Ricoh Europe, London, 16 September 2015Ricoh Europe is set to showcase its additive manufacturing capabilities when it debuts at the product development trade fair, EuroMold 2015.

At the Messe DÜsseldorf from 22 - 25 September, representatives will be on-hand at booth 16F123 to share Ricoh’s latest 3D print offerings designed to help businesses innovate and evolve throughout the digital age. The company will also bring its RICOH Rapid Fab experts to the fair.

As part of its additive manufacturing business, centered on 3D printers, Ricoh Europe recently established its first RICOH Rapid Fab facility on the continent. Located in Telford, UK, the facility has been created to enable customers to benefit from Ricoh’s expertise in areas such as consultancy, training, design, manufacturing, post process finishing and measurement & inspection services. The facility also hosts demonstrations, giving customers an early look at the latest additive manufacturing innovations from Ricoh. Customers can use RICOH Rapid Fab as a showroom to experience 3D printing products, and also take advantage of the 3D printer output service using their own data. The capabilities of RICOH Rapid Fab relieve customers of often time-consuming, costly tasks, allowing them to focus on core business activities.

This year, Ricoh Europe will resell a range of 3D printers in Germany, Italy and the UK, with the intention to expand this offering across EMEA. The company has a number of technologies in prototyping and moulding, in addition to its extensive experience utilising 3D printers for its product design over the past 20 years. Ricoh pioneered the digitisation of the prepress and high volume printing process. In line with this history of innovation, 3D printing and Rapid Fab are the next natural steps.

Greg Plowman, Director, European AM Business Group, Ricoh Europe, said: “Today, manufacturing companies are expected to respond to their customer’s evolving business challenges quicker than ever before by constantly reengineering and creating innovative new products. With that in mind, it’s no surprise that the industry has seen a significant increase in the interest and consumption of 3D printers. They provide cost-saving prototyping and functional parts capabilities, as well as offering fast turnaround. The new RICOH Rapid Fab facility will ensure that our customers remain at the forefront of innovation.”
