Our dealership recently began using FMaudit.  We are trying to sell this as a meter collection tool, primarily, but have wanted to use it for ontime supply delivery as well.  The problem we are running into is that many of the new Ricohs are not reporting toner levels at all......  Can any ricoh dealers using FMaudit please respond and let me know if there is a fix for this?  Are we missing something?  We received a lackluster response to our inquiry to FMaudit, so I figured I would ask here, while we retool our question to FMaudit.  Any thoughts????   Thank you.

By new Ricoh's do you mean the 04 series machines or the 03 series? I use FMaudit in our dealership with both our Ricoh's and Konica Minolta's. I find that the Ricoh's return a lot less information than the Konica Minolta's but the 03 series machines do return the toner levels and that is about all. I do not have any 04 series machines in our demo room to test.

I just checked our system and I get the same thing for our MP301's just the blue exclamation for just the estimated I do not have any 6002's. So sorry I have no quick fix for ya. I know the readings come from the machines MIB so the issue may not be with FMaudit but with the Ricoh's not giving the information. If you find a solution I would be interested.

Dean,

I think I can help.  I just checked the Print Audit MPS Readiness rating for the models that you asked about and found the following;

Our Facilities Manager does track toner percentage levels on the MP 301. That device reports toner in 25% increments down to a level of 10%. After 10% it reverts to an enumerated value (ie. low, empty, etc.). As a result, it rates as a 3 out of 5 on our MPS Readiness rating.

The MP 6002 SP does not report toner levels in a percentage format, at all. It has a rating of 1 out of 5 on our MPS Readiness rating.

FYI - Our Premier members have access to the MPS Readiness Report which includes ratings (from 1 to 5) on over 2500 different printer models from over 50 manufacturers.  5 is the top score. It provides details on the devices suitability for automated supplies management, based on the level of detail provided on supplies levels in the private MIB.

Please let me know if I can help further.
