At time of launch, the SU-2 Network Scan Kit and the SU-3 Internet Fax/Network Scan Kit require the Pi3505e PCL Print Controller (or Pi3505e PS3+PCL Controller when it becomes available) AND the NC-4 Network Printer Kit.

Yes. Mixed paper sizes will be printed on the correct paper size based on the selections made, provided the paper sizes required are loaded in the paper trays. If the selection on the driver has been set to Auto Paper, the correct paper sizes will automatically be selected. If specific paper type is required, you must select it from Driver.

No, it is not. Since the AFR-19 can handle a maximum number of 80 sheets, any pages that exceed this limit will be scanned as a separate file. It is not possible to combine two independent scan jobs into one scan file.

IP Scanner enables the user to scan to the desktop. With this type of scanning, setting up an e-mail server is not required. The scan goes directly to the desktop in a designated folder for retrieval at any time. It’s a one step scan process if the application requires an electronic form of the document to be archived on the desktop. There are up to 540 autodialing keys on the Di3510-2010 series, printer/copier versions and printer/copier/fax versions, that can be used for scanning addresses. If required, all 540 autodialing keys can be set up for IP Scanning.

Answer
Scanning to the hard driver presents an alternative form of scanning for the end user. In many cases, users do not want to integrate scanning with their e-mail server. Scan to Hard Disk Drive eliminates the need to set up an e-mail server. Documents are scanned to a “mailbox” and then retrieved by the user when they are needed.

The HDD-6 impacts printing, scanning and copy functions. From a printing perspective, the HDD spools print jobs, supports PostScript 3 Font Downloads as well as PDL file downloads with the PostScript Level + PCL Print Controller and is required when creating booklets with (SK-1 Saddle Kit) with the Pi3505e PostScript 3 + PCL Print Controller.

From a scanning perspective, the HDD-6 is required for scan-to-Hard Drive function to work. There is also a scan-to-URL that sends a notification that a document has been stored in a mailbox (Hard Disk Drive).

In terms of copying, the HDD-6 impacts Image Stamping, Job Reservation and provides an additional 2,000 pages of file memory. The HDD-6 is required to scan multiple copy jobs (up to five).

The image on the A4 size document is not reduced. It is reproduced to scale on letter size paper. Therefore if an image on an A4 size document is edge to edge in both directions, the image will be cut off when it is printed on letter-size paper.

When booklet with crease fold and two-point staple is selected, cover insertion is not available.

In order to scan multiple copy jobs (up to 5) while the device is printing the copy jobs already scanned, the HDD-6 is absolutely required.

No, it is not possible to hole punch (2- or 3-hole) booklets created the via the SK-1 Saddle Kit. Only two-point staple and crease fold are available as finishing options via the SK-1.
