IRVINE, Calif., Apr 09, 2012 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Printronix, Inc., the worldwide leader in business-critical printing solutions, today launched the innovative Printronix N7000 Series of Line Matrix Printers into the Chinese market. The N7000 Cartridge Series provides one of the most cost-effective, reliable and environmentally conscious printing solutions for manufacturing, banking, supply chain and back office users. The N7000 Series include additional product enhancements, such as a Chinese language control panel and a new secure cabinet designed for improved performance in a wide range of extreme conditions associated with industrial and back office environments, and Printronix’s advanced cartridge technology. All models are ENERGY STAR® qualified and are fully compatible, direct replacements for earlier generation line matrix spool printers.

“The launch of the N7000 Series designed specifically for the Chinese market offers our customers ‘The Power of Plus,’ or a number of advantages which include improved product reliability, ease of use and generates savings of up to 20 percent of consumable cost per page compared to the previous generation of spool ribbon printers,” said Mark Edwards, senior vice president, global sales and marketing, for Printronix Inc.

Chinese Language Character Support

The N7000 Series is comprised of two distinctive product families and provides more variety to configure just the right solution for any industrial or back office printing challenge. Both families offer the new control panel which allows operators to easily maintain the printer functions and quickly address potential printing issues without relying on a staff with English language skills. The combination of a fine point hammer design and a high processing controller provide the capability to print at a much higher resolution. In addition, the N7000H family can reproduce the complexities and nuances of character shapes found in the Chinese language with precise detail.

Cost-Effective Replacements for High Speed Serial Dot Matrix and Laser Printers

Line matrix printers are superior performers in mission critical high speed print applications, even in harsh working environments. The latest N7000 Series models require less downtime and maintenance for ribbon changes and deliver high efficiencies that boost productivity through PrintNet Enterprise™, a tool to help manage worldwide print operations remotely. The result is more uptime with lower service and operating costs.

“Line matrix cartridge consumables last longer and are less expensive than laser toner cartridges,” said Edwards. “This is especially important in production environments where consumable costs dominate the total cost of ownership. As printing volumes increase, line matrix's consumable savings grow dramatically.”

Environmental Advantages

The N7000 Series of Line Matrix Printers is ENERGY STAR® qualified, providing operational energy savings compared to laser printers. Additional environmental advantages include: waste reduction, less packaging, accommodates paper with high recycled content, easier recycling of printed paper, less ozone depletion and none of the fine particulate emissions found in laser toner cartridges. In addition, the Printronix N7000 Cartridge Family is engineered to last for years. This is a key ecological benefit over shorter life cycle products such as laser and serial printers.
