Customer replaced an HP MICR printer with a Ricoh/Savin 4510 (Rosetta) MICR. They are printing payroll from an AS400. If/when the printer runs out of paper or is in an error state, the print job is lost...resulting in having to restart the print queue from the beginning. So, if they print 435 or 600 checks and have an error they have to start over.

I'm looking for a way to change the "print job timeout" from 15 seconds. I can telnet into the printer and see the settings but don't know the commands to change it. It doesn't seem to be available via WIM or SP modes.

My only other solutions are to add additional paper bank and set up auto tray switching (but this won't resolve issues if there is a misfeed, etc...). Or, install the parallel option and an HP JetDirect that I would hope would function like the NIC on the HP.

Any help or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
