Ricoh’s PCS Director Embedded and PCS Director Secure Embedded are now certified compatible with Ricoh’s latest generation of Services-Led Platform multifunction devices.

Calgary, Alberta - October 15, 2013 - Ricoh’s PCS Director Embedded, a print management solution powered by Print Audit®, has been tested by the Ricoh Product Testing and Evaluation Center and certified as compatible with the latest generation of Ricoh Services-Led Platform multifunction devices which feature Ricoh’s Embedded Software Architecture™ based in Java.

PCS Director is a Ricoh OEM software tool that can help Ricoh direct sales branches and independent dealers win more deals and keep more customers by offering a high-demand print management solution that can assist organizations in realizing thousands of dollars in savings on their copy and printing costs.

Ricoh’s PCS Director Embedded and PCS Director Secure Embedded install directly onto Ricoh multifunction devices, allowing users to control and recover printing, copying, faxing and scanning costs. These software solutions provide a complete document tracking, chargeback, secure print release and pull printing solution that eliminates the need for external hardware.

Ricoh began shipping the latest generation of Services-Led multifunction devices in July 2013 and has more models scheduled for launch later this year. This makes PCS Director Embedded and PCS Director Secure Embedded an excellent choice for organizations wishing to add cost recovery and/or secure print release capabilities to new or existing Ricoh multifunction devices.

Embedded Software Architecture™ certification was attained for PCS Director Embedded version 6.1.5 and PCS Director Secure Embedded version 1.1.16, the latest versions of these solutions, which also include several new features that enhance the end user experience.

We became a Premier Partner with Print Audit so naturally, our orders now go through them. The main differences have more to do with timing of upgrades. For instance, we have had Print Audit Secure for quite awhile but PCS Director still doesn't have it I don't think. Also, I think you'll find that you can't "sell" the PA6 software if you are a RFG Dealer.

All that having been said, all the things that people care about functionally, are the same.
