SECAUCUS, NJ March 18, 2009 — Panasonic Communications Company of North America (PCCNA) today made a bold entrance into the A4 color multi-function product market with the release of the DP-MC210, a 10BaseT/100 BaseTX Ethernet capable, IPv6-ready, full-duplex printer/scanner/fax MFP.

Unlike traditional MFPs using complex four-pass printing technology, the DP-MC210 is driven by Panasonic's proprietary Single Pass Tandem Print Engine, which maintains a constant high-resolution color and monochrome output speed of up to 21ppm1. Use of the single-pass engine also significantly reduces consumable replacement and maintenance costs and complexity for increased operator productivity and maximum return on investment.

"The DP-MC210, the first entry in our A4 MFP product line, is a perfect combination of advanced technology, user-friendly controls and maintenance procedures, enterprise-optimized features, and built-by-Panasonic durability," said Joseph Odore, Panasonic product specialist for MFP/FAX.

"With its 3.6-inch color LCD control and preview panel, integrated browser-directed capability, direct printing from SDHC Memory, standard-equipment duplex unit and 50-page ADF, and 770-sheet paper capacity, the DP-MC210 is the smartest, hardest-working MFP in its class."

Designed for small corporate workgroups, multi-executive business and professional offices and SOHO enterprise operators, the DP-MC210 ships with both Windows GDI and PCL6 drivers and can print up to 1200dpi resolution in full color. With the same user interface as its multi-award-winning big brothers in the Panasonic C3 series, the MC210 can retrieve and print files from a networked FTP site, add watermarks, print overlays of corporate logos or other graphics, print directly from an SDHC Memory with LCD preview, and combine and print up to 16 images on a single sheet,

The unit's scanner utilizes a high-resolution contact image sensor (CIS) to capture documents at up to 9600dpi from either the ADF or platen glass. When connected to a corporate network, the unit can instantly transmit digital documents to a PC desktop internet email address or remote FTP host. Panasonic's Quick Image Navigator application provides document management capabilities. Additional bundled software includes READiris 7.0 for OCR conversion of scanned documents into text.

Automatic scan-and-copy features include scanning of both sides of one or multiple ID cards and printing them on the front of a single-sheet of paper, auto-resizing and printing of multiple scanned documents on the same sheet, and multiple printing of a single scanner document on a single sheet.

Productivity fax enhancements include scroll, zoom and rotated previewing of incoming faxes on the DP-MC210's LCD, paperless FAX forwarding to an email address, PC, or FTP server, save to SDHC, incoming junk-fax filtering, and built-in misdialing error-reduction technology.

The suggested retail price for Panasonic’s DP-MC210 is $1,995.00
