OCR from MFP w/ out software

I quoted a customer PPDM for a small branch and DigiDocFlow Features Pack for their corporate HQ, and the I.T. Director said he would prefer not to have any software installed on the desktop (PPDM) or server (DigiDocFlow). All he wants to do is Scan to Word.

Is there any OCR middleware that can be installed on a Ricoh MP C4501 that will not require any additional software?
