Oce VarioStream 9000 Family Sets Speed Benchmarks

Océ VarioStream 9510, 9610 and 9710 models deliver greater printing speed and are targeted at the particularly high demands of users in the black and white sector.

Trumbull, CT, December 10, 2007 -– Océ, a global leader in digital document management and delivery, announces new models for the Océ VarioStream 9000 black and white duplex printer line with new systems designed to help customers dramatically increase productivity. The Océ VarioStream 9510 and Océ VarioStream 9610 printers join the recently announced Océ VarioStream 9710 model to set new standards in high-productivity printing with a significant increase in black and white printing speed. The Océ VarioStream 9510, Océ VarioStream 9610 and Océ VarioStream 9710 models deliver greater printing speed, thereby increasing print productivity by up to 80 percent. All three models are targeted at the particularly high demands of users in the black and white sector.

Growing Transpromo Market
Océ, the global market leader in continuous-feed printing, continues to
enhance the Océ VarioStream 9000 product line with greater speed and
versatile functionality. The new systems offer solid solutions for
transaction printing for single-color invoices, bank statements,
mailings and graphic arts applications. The printers can be upgraded to
higher speeds, and with one or two Océ CustomTone® colors, transformed
to Océ VarioStream 9520/9620/9720 or 9530/9630/9730 models.

"With total flexibility, the Océ VarioStream 9000 family provides
complete investment protection with comprehensive, on-site
upgradeability,” said Mal Baboyian, President, Océ North America,
Production Printing Systems. “The product and the core technology can
evolve along with customer requirements. The advantage is that
increasingly demanding jobs do not necessitate the purchase of new
equipment.”

Océ VarioStream 9510
The new Océ VarioStream 9510 system prints 1,069 DIN-A4 sides 2-Up per
minute. This efficient, entry-level model combines high-quality
printing with a significant reduction in costs. It is the ideal choice
for the first stage of increasing printing speed. As with all devices
in the Océ VarioStream 9000 series, the Océ VarioStream 9510 system is
extremely effective in helping customers with transaction printing for
single-color invoices, bank statements or mailings.

Océ VarioStream 9610
The Océ VarioStream 9610 system is for users ready for capabilities
beyond the entry-level Océ VarioStream 9510 model. It prints 1,283
DIN-A4 pages 2-Up per minute. Like other members of the product line,
this printer is especially suited to transactional and new transpromo
applications and can be equipped with Océ CustomTone technology. Océ
offers a large selection of decorative and company colors which can be
optionally integrated into the printing process. This is a further
benefit for ensuring future security and flexibility.

Océ VarioStream 9710
Recently announced at GRAPH EXPO®, the Océ VarioStream 9710 system runs at 1,515 images per minute (347 feet), for a powerful duty cycle of 43 million impressions per month, making it the fastest toner-based black and white duplex printing system.

A special GraphicArts option can be added for printing challenging
graphics and images at 852 speeds. During this special exposure
procedure, the brightness of the character generator’s 11,000+ LEDs is
varied. Images can be printed with a particularly high degree of
detail, an important prerequisite for journals that require
high-quality black and white reproduction of photos and graphics.
