I'm reading the brochure for the OCE PlotWave 450/550. On page 9. I'm reading that the device will scan 47.9'/minute.  Rounding off  we get 48'.  Thus to find the speed of inches per second I need to take 48x12=576 inches and then divide that by 60 seconds for a speed of 9.6 inches per second.   Is this true?

If so, that's really fast when compared to other devices.  Can someone clarify?

That is Fast! In my experience, the limiting factor in scanning w.f. originals isn't the hardware, it's the ability to load, position, and un-load the originals.

I like the way my Savin machines can be easily converted to a "flat" scanner, which when used with a SureStack, can really scan fast! You are only limited by your ability to load the next original.
