Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport Awards New England Toner Service 5 Year Contract.
Newport, Rhode Island --- New England Toner Service Inc. dba NETS Printer Solutions of Portsmouth, R.I. has been awarded a $4.9 million, five year contract to supply ink and toner cartridge supplies to NUWC Division Newport in Newport, Rhode Island. The contract was won through a competitive bidding process, requiring a formal response to a Request For Proposals (“RFP”). “We are very honored and excited to continue our relationship with NUWC by being awarded this our fourth contract with NUWC in the last thirteen years” said NETS President, Davis Dewey. “Being in the service business, we always focus on the needs of our clients and in the case of NUWC, we specialize in very fast and reliable service, which is critical for them to operate at a high level of efficiently. We intend to continue this level of service to them for the next five years”, Dewey says. This contract award was also special as NETS was assisted by Logistics Specialties, Inc. (“LSI”), a consulting firm that specializes in business development. “LSI’s support was instrumental in helping us focus our win strategy and in writing our proposal” said Dewey. “As part of a growing number of small Rhode Island businesses that have seen the value of specialized business development expertise, we hope our win is an inspiration for other small Rhode Island businesses who are building their business by targeting larger government and commercial opportunities.”
Originally started in 1994 NETS Printer Solutions is a small locally owned business supplying ink and toner cartridges to all classes of trade for all of Rhode Island and southeastern Mass. In addition the company also sells and services all the major brands of printers, copiers and fax machines. Their repair technicians are HP certified and trained on all types of office equipment. The company has six employees.
