Well, since I just lost my previous post to....whatever.

I'm not too happy with the W3601, even with a print speed of 7ppm, color scan, limitless print length, and usb scan; I just can't embrace this unit just yet.

Where will the MSRP be? I'm thinking a 7ppm system with color scan, and Ricoh is going to sit tight and stay with almost the same MSRP of the W3600. Hey, I'm hoping they don't, I think we need to be under $16K for print, color scan and roll feeder to go up against the likes of KIP, Xerox and OCE/Canon (sleeping GIANT).

Another frustration of mine is the no usb print support! Come on Ricoh you gotta be kidding me!! Our business is all about the consumables right? I could sell a ton of these to low volume users and you could have captured hundreds of thousands of additional pages with usb print support. Just think, low end architects, contractors, engineers would not need to purchase a print or scan controller and a file format converter (why the heck was that ever needed), plus we'd be able to somewhat compete with the new release of wide format MFP's from Canon, and HP.

I had more on this however I forgot most of it, would love to hear from others on this subject. Will it be a winner or loser, right now I'm thinking loser!!!

You are exactly correct, loser will be an understatment. We are already behind the 8 ball on wf technology and bringing this version with color scan, why bother, if they don't bring the pricing in line, there are very few opportunites out there. It's embarrassing when you compete against the other manufacturers with lower price product with more advanced features.
