Here are the New Product Naming Scheme on the Ricoh products. I thought that this would be helpful for all the sales reps to have.

SP = Singe-Function Printer (comes from Printer Group)
MP = Multi-Function Copier
First two digits = Speed for MP line only
C = Color
SF = Scan & Fax (we are now assuming print)

For example, SPC 210SF, even though it is a platen based system, it comes from the Printer Group (SP), is color enabled (C), not sure where the 210 comes from?, and is scan/fax enabled (SF). Also, all models names will be identical between Ricoh, Savin, Gestetner & Lanier.

Thought you all might like to know, if you didn't already.

Please let me clarify a few point.

SP C210SF (note the spacing between SP and C)
SP means this is a printer product - therefore it will print and doesn't need to tell you.

C is colour product (BW has no letter, but is followed by four digits)

210 series/grade, generation, and if there are other machines the series/grade at the same generation then this value will change dependant upon what paper sizes can be used.

MFP are slightly different
