New GBC AdvancedPunch from Bytes and Xerox

FULL STORY
The new inline GBC AdvancedPunch from Xerox, available through Bytes Document Solutions, authorized Xerox distributor to 27 sub-Saharan African countries, gives printers the opportunity to create professionally bound documents in-house.

It combines punching and collating into a single, convenient step and allows various, interchangeable die sets for popular binding styles without manual punching.

‘It increases productivity while lowering costs,’ said Paul Haglich, marketing and product manager in the production systems group at Bytes Document Solutions.

The AdvancedPunch reduces the setup time and costs associated with manual finishing by providing ready-to-bind documents literally at the touch of a button. It improves options for customers because it offers seven different punching styles and it’s easy to create professionally bound documents in-house. It’s also versatile in that it can be used by production professionals. That’s because the interface is straightforward and non-professionals can initiate print jobs from their desktops and professionals from the print controllers.

The new finisher offers a number of features such as being fully integrated with the printer and offering some useful options around the die sets. Three additional die sets can be stored in the module, replacement of the die sets is easy and does not require any levers or tools. The AdvancedPunch also uses a unique waste container sensor design to catch the hole-punch scraps. It also supports punching of pre-cut tab stock to create punched applications such as manuals, guides or planners.

The GBC Advanced Punch is available as an option for the Xerox 700 and Xerox 1000 Digital Colour Presses and the certain models of the 4112/4127 family of mono production printers.
