There is an existing fleet of Sharp systems.  The client is printing from their ERP for statements and invoices.  The ERP can only print one sided documents.  The client would like to be able to print the statements two sided and then have an the document auto stapled.   Anyone have any ideas??  Help!

Art,

I know on many models you can set the PCL defaults (EX: Two Sided & Duplex). These will be ignored when you print form a PCL Driver because the Driver will over ride the defaults. But if they print from a host system the MFD PCL defaults will be used.

The other thing you can propose,(Most Host Admins will hate the idea) is set up a Windows Print Driver on a Windows Server. make sure LPD is running and set the Printing Preferences (I also set the Printing Defaults) to DX & Staple and have the Host Print to the printer on the Windows Print server to pick up the desired settings.

Hope that helps!

Vince
