Muratec America, Inc. launches ManageIT program

Plano, Texas (May 31, 2013) - Muratec America, Inc., manufacturer of multifunction office equipment and business productivity solutions, announces today the launch of the Muratec ManageIT program.

The ManageIT program is an initiative to provide independent office equipment dealers with a turnkey managed IT services program designed to transform their business from a hardware-centric selling model into a services-led approach. The program enables dealers to offer their customers 24/7 network monitoring, proactive maintenance, remote remediation and live customer help desk support.

"Muratec wants to take the conversation beyond simply managing print environments and into the management of the entire IT infrastructure," said Jim D’Emidio, president, Muratec America, Inc. "Dealers are being bombarded with the message that they have to get into managed services. Our ManageIT program enables dealers to present a solution that addresses proactive network maintenance, data security, real-time issue remediation, live customer support and significant cost savings."

The ManageIT program consists of the following components.

Fully brandable Managed Workplace® remote monitoring and management (RMM) platform from Level Platforms, enabling discovery, monitoring and proactive management of local and cloud IT infrastructure and applications, including PCs, servers, printers and mobile devices, from a fully integrated, web-based dashboard. Managed Workplace will also catalog your hardware assets and software licenses to maintain up-to-date versioning and license compliance.

 Proactive network maintenance which includes antivirus updates, software patch management, adware and spyware removal, system back-ups and more.

 Private labeled 24/7/365 remote monitoring from Level Platforms network operating center (NOC) with trouble ticket alerts sent to the customer’s in-house IT staff (or dealer) for remediation or full trouble remediation by the NOC.

 Live 24/7/365 private labeled customer help desk support.

Muratec designed the program for flexibility so dealers can choose which components to offer their customer’s based on the customer’s requirements.

"Muratec supports over 500 dealerships and each operates differently," said D’Emidio. "The beauty of our ManageIT program is that it enables dealers to pick and choose the components

that fit their current strategy and assists them in growing at their own pace. By delivering such a powerful, flexible managed services program, dealers of all sizes can compete on a relatively level playing field."

Muratec has partnered with Level Platforms to provide the onsite monitoring and back-end support for the ManageIT program. Level Platforms has developed a solid reputation in the RMM industry for their innovative, award-winning monitoring and management software, reseller on-boarding support and NOC and help desk services.

"Muratec is known throughout the BTA channel for our commitment to delivering the best dealer support in the industry, so it was critical that we select a partner who shares our same values," said D’Emidio. "Level Platforms has been consistently recognized for their customer support excellence and their commitment to their reseller’s success."

"The convergence of managed print and IT management represents a key opportunity for office equipment dealers as they seek new ways to deliver more comprehensive services to their end-customers," said Peter Sandiford, president and CEO, Level Platforms. "Through this partnership with Level Platforms, Muratec dealers can take advantage of the automated monitoring, proactive management and integrated white label NOC and help desk capabilities in Managed Workplace to economically scale their offering, differentiating themselves from competitors and creating substantial recurring revenue."
