Is the 6001 being discontinued? If so when? Are these 6002 out in the USA?
I swear this Ricoh dealer here is dumping equipment that they are blowing everyone away by at least 50% or more lower in cost.

I have not heard of the MP6002 being launched in the US yet. Yup, we;ve seen some stupid pricing here in Jersey also, I always wonder how long that dealer or direct will be around when they sell at the lowest cost.
How do they do that??? I have lost multiple deals to the Ricoh dealer because I cannot compete. This was not like this last year....just in the last few months they have been killing everyone. It is almost like a loss leader marketing concept to get people to try Ricoh which unfortunately would NEVER happen here or for that matter most places. This is the most powerful dealer in town but I have heard several times that their service is horrible but it did not use to be like that.

what prices are you seeing, can you send me the quotes? I can then tell you whats going on
and how can Gillette keep giving away those nice razors?? We all know the answer but as sales types we just can't accept it. After pressing my first "Start Print" button on a Xerox 2400 in 1971, I've now retired. Ya'all enjoy yourself!

wow!! 41 years in the business that's awesome
I've been noticing many dealers selling used as new. There is some legal loophole that lets they claim "New From Factory" as BRAND new, the same as we'd interpret it.
As we say here: you can't do it forever!

We are seeing Direct Branches "DUMPING" their service at costs below what the Manufacturer (WHO OWNS THE DIRECT BRANCH) says we need to charge to be able to service the equipment properly. Maybe that is why the Direct Branch has such terrible service because they can't afford to do it correctly.
Dumping is ILLEGAL and is defined as when a large company sells it products (or Services) below it's cost so as to drive its competition out of business.I understand why the Direct Branches do it, they are under tremendous pressure to win deals, and it has been a lot harder going up against the large Regional and independent Dealers than they thought it would be.
Anyone can give away their products & service but it takes a professional to sell the value and get a reasonable profit. We are not a non profit organization, and there is NOTHING wrong with making an honest profit. It is the ESSENCE of a good business deal, trading a good value for an honest profit!
I am going to put my soap box a way, at least for a while LOL.
