As most of you know we have the ability to approve and disapprove each application for our site (We need to keep in with RFG).

Our site is FREE, we do not require any fees, any donations, etc. For the last three years I have been the one to send the emails out for finding new members.

We require four pieces of crucial information to make our evaulation.

  • Legitimate email address
  • Company you work for
  • Company Phone Number
  • Your Name

I don't think this is a big deal. We have had our fair share of users trying to avoid the information, which leads to the membership not being approved or a phone call to find out if a mistake was made.

Well, just the other day we had a member from the west coast put in a legitmate email address (then changed it to a bs address, the system caught it and disabled the account) the person then emailed me to correct the problem so they could log back on, I did.

These are the answers I had to deal with, my reply is after the /

1. Your name (e red/ is what you entered)

2. Your Occupation (fish scaler/ is not related in our industry)

3. Your Company Name (cbs/ please elaborate)

4. Your Company phone number (x/ is currently being used for our members from the planet Pluto at this time)

5. Products carried (none/ Please elaborate)

So, I had emailed this to the person, since they did provide a correct email address and this was my second or third email trying to get the account correct.

I also gave the person a day to get the information changed.

I saw that the person was logged on and checked the membership information, it was still not completed. I had the email address and was familiar with the company. I called and spoke to that person who was simply astonished that I called and seemed extremely upset that I called. I explained that the information was not completed and that we would need it as soon as possible!

Here is the email I received from that person:

This is just the type of thing I was trying avoid. I get a lot of email everyday and since I have been registered on your site, 2 working days, you have emailed me 4 times and phoned me once, despite my not providing a phone number. Please remove me from your user list. I am not a Canon Spy, but I am too busy to be fielding additional useless email and phone calls.

Thank you.

With that email, I deleted the account. That person should lighten up. It's as simple as hitting the "delete" key or turning the TV button to "off". You have the choice!

If the person would have read our opening statement, they would have realized that we do not sell or distribute our email list. All I wanted was the right information in a timley manner...

Enough of my ranting, this person was the icing on the cake for a tough week.

I am very happy to hear everyone else's week has been horrible! Because I was beginning to second guess myself. What's up? IT WAS JUST ONE BIG FAT CRAPPY WEEK!!! Looking forward to some good food, good company and GREAT DRINK over Thanksgiving! Wishing all of you the same and a better start when we all get back.
