Managed Print Services Association Elects Officers and Board of Directors

New leadership reflects diversity and vibrancy of MPS marketplace

Lexington, KY – September 23, 2009 – The newly formed Managed Print Services Association (MPSA) announces the election of its officers and board of directors. The MPSA was launched in April 2009 at the first annual Managed Print Services Conference in San Antonio, TX. The vision of the MPSA is to establish a worldwide independent organization that removes barriers to provide profitable growth for all businesses within this sector. As an example of eliminating communication obstacles, MPSA was one of the first associations to use social networking site LinkedIn as its primary communication platform, quickly reaching 1,000 LinkedIn group members in just a few months. Today, over 1,700 participants use the Managed Print Services LinkedIn Group as a forum to share industry insights, job postings, discussions, and news related to Managed Print Services.
MPSA membership represents the full spectrum of the MPS marketplace: the end user community, software and service vendors, hardware manufacturers, and resellers and dealers. This diversity is reflected in the newly elected MPSA leadership. Following is the list of new board members and their constituencies, along with the executive officers of the association.

“The list of MPSA officers and board reads like a Who’s Who in the field of Managed Print Services. The leadership team was elected to ensure the industry’s path to MPS is easier and more profitable for everyone involved,” said MPSA President, Jim Fitzpatrick. “It will be a venue for collaboration between all stakeholders in the MPS industry. Ultimately, we are all dedicated to make the growth in this marketplace as beneficial to both vendors as well as end users who benefit through consistent, high-value MPS solutions."
“The MPSA already has a daunting schedule and issues that need our attention, such as best practices and overall services. Initially, the association will target educational programs and standards for MPS engagements. We encourage members to communicate their needs and interests to any member of the new association leadership. As the MPSA defines projects, we will create teams of one or two officers and request volunteers from the MPS community,” said Justin West, MPSA Vice President.
