IRVINE, Calif., Oct 01, 2013 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Kofax plc, a leading provider of smart process applications for the business critical First Mile(TM) of customer interactions, today announced that a major property insurance company in the U.S. has invested an additional $725,000 to expand its Kofax solution to better handle the massive spike in disaster claims that occur as a result of unpredictable catastrophic events.

 

The insurer invested in Kofax Communications Server(TM), Kofax VRS Elite and Kofax Professional Services to dramatically increase its claims processing speed, quality and reliability. The company estimates that catastrophic events such as major storms, massive fires or earthquakes could force it to suddenly need to capture and process tens of millions of additional claim related documents within a relatively short period. Preparing for this contingency required a more robust system that would process more documents in less time and at lower costs.
