Art, if they have Plotbase, you should be able to setup basic PPD printing.

BUT.

They can buy a new Mac Mini for $599 that runs literal rings around their existing machine, or keep their ten year or more old machine and maybe you'll find a retrocomputing expert who can kludge around this after several hours of $150/hour consulting. Leaving them in the same bind next month when the next problem arises.

Sometimes you can't give them what they want, but rather, what they need. Why someone hasn't spoken hard truth to them five years ago isn't your problem, but today should be the day that you give them advice to move on.

FYI Mac OS9 was last updated in 2001. Eleven years ago. The last machine that could theoretically run it shipped in 2003, but the OS is most common on 1999-2000 era hardware.
