COHOES, N.Y.—September 14, 2015—Mohawk, a privately-owned manufacturer of fine papers, envelopes and specialty substrates for commercial and digital printing. The company will have dozens of samples of papers and substrates highlighted at GRAPH EXPO 2015, running live as demos in the booths of Mohawk’s OEM (original equipment manufacturer) partners, and featured in numerous pre-printed samples available throughout the show floor. Participating OEM booths will feature Mohawk branded signage towers.

 

Mohawk (Booth # 3002c) will occupy a 10×20-foot booth within the Materials Matter area, where attendees can obtain samples of high quality envelopes, innovative digital substrates and a new line of swatchbooks.

 

Mohawk’s extensive digital portfolio will be showcased both in the Mohawk booth and by original equipment manufacturers in attendance at GRAPH EXPO, including, Canon, HP, Konica Minolta, MGI, Ricoh and Xerox

In-booth demos by OEMs at GRAPH EXPO 2015:

Canon (Booth #1213) will feature a wide variety of Mohawk fine papers and substrates in various finishes, text and cover weights on presses including all of the Canon imagePRESS monochrome models. Canon will be showcasing premium fine papers including Mohawk Via Felt i-Tone, Mohawk Loop Inxwell Vertical i-Tone and Mohawk Superfine Eggshell i-Tone for jazz posters, book covers and textured farmers market posters. Mohawk Everyday Digital and Mohawk Color Copy will be used for numerous samples including books, postcards, brochures and business cards. Lastly, two Mohawk Dimensional products will showcase high-quality, pre-converted prints for short-run packaging.

 

At HP (Booth #1202), Mohawk substrates will run on a variety of HP Indigo presses. HP will highlight Mohawk Via Linen i-Tone and Mohawk Everyday Digital Uncoated to showcase the outstanding print quality on a variety of print applications.

Konica Minolta (Booth #1913) will feature a wide variety of Mohawk substrates such as Everyday Digital Gloss and Silk, Dimensional Products, Saybrook Envelopes, Options Navajo, and Mohawk Color Copy. Konica Minolta Bizhub PRESS models including the 2250, C1100 and C71HC will utilize this wide variety of Mohawk substrates to produce booklet covers and booklets, photo books, posters, 3D boxes, note cards and greeting cards, and packaging applications.

 

MGI (Booth #3013) will showcase a variety of Mohawk digital substrates as demos on the MGI color Meteor DP 8700XL+, including Mohawk Everyday Digital, Mohawk Dimensional White Vertical Tent Cards and White Toothpaste Boxes; Saybrook 10×13˝ Booklet and Catalog Envelopes; Mohawk Synthetic Premium Polyester Clear; Mohawk Pressure Sensitive Labels Circle Kisscut, Vinyl White Ultra Removable, Vinyl Frosty Clear Ultra Removable, and Vinyl Frosty Clear Ultra Cling. MGI will also utilize its JETvarnish3D and iFOIL solutions printing press to feature a variety of specialty processes such as foiling, embossing and UV coating on Mohawk papers and substrates. A first-of-its-kind personalized digital foiling demo will be conducted during the show.

 

In addition, MGI partnered with Mohawk and other industry leaders to produce 20,000 tip-on cover cards—printed on Mohawk Everyday Digital Paper—featured on the covers of the GRAPH EXPO 15 Show Directory.

 

At Ricoh (Booth #1231), Mohawk is proud to be the premiere media sponsor of Ricoh’s “5th Color Station Kit” to support the launch of the new Ricoh PRO C7100X series of digital presses, and a variety of Mohawk papers and substrates will be featured on the new Ricoh PRO C7100X/C7110X/C7100SX/C7110SX digital presses at GRAPH EXPO 15.

 

Ricoh will highlight numerous applications from the 5th Color Station Kit to highlight the depth and breadth of Mohawk Digital substrates. Featured products include Mohawk Everyday Digital Gloss in various cover and text weights, Mohawk Embedded 4-up Magnetic Postcards Silk, Mohawk Synthetic Premium Polyester Clear and White and Mohawk Pressure Sensitive Polyester Clear Ultra Cling Adhesive.

 

Ricoh is also featuring educational content from Mohawk MakeReady on its new business development site, called Ricoh Business Booster.

 

Xerox (Booth #613) will feature a broad selection of Mohawk fine papers and substrates including Mohawk Superfine with i-Tone for posters and Mohawk Superfine Dimensional for toy boxes printed on the Versant 80 press. Mohawk Superfine will also be featured on business cards (with gold ink) and a Polish Pottery brochure on the Xerox Color 1000i Digital Press. The Color1000i press will highlight distinctive report covers printed on Mohawk Via Vellum Black. A variety of envelopes will be printed on the Versant 80 press in various styles and sizes, featuring Saybrook Envelopes as well as numerous Mohawk papers including Mohawk Everyday Digital and Superfine.

 

In addition, the Xerox IJP 2000 will highlight Mohawk’s growing line of substrates specifically designed for emerging Memjet-class wide-format inkjet printers. The following Mohawk inkjet media will be highlighted at GRAPH EXPO 15 to showcase a variety of applications: Mohawk Inkjet DuPont Tyvek featuring a waterfast matte inkjet receptive coating; Mohawk Inkjet Polyester Pressure Sensitive Permanent Adhesive featuring an aqueous matte coated polyester; Mohawk Inkjet Matte Backlit Film, an aqueous matte coated polyester backlit display film; and Mohawk Inkjet Textured Lightblock Film.

 

Material Matters Pavilion

Mohawk, in cooperation with GASC, has organized a collaborative space at GRAPH EXPO 15 called ‘Materials Matter’. The Materials Matter pavilion (Booth #3002) will feature fine paper and substrate companies to demonstrate the powerful role that paper and non-paper substrates play in every print project.

 

Mohawk Launches Two New Product Lines at GRAPH EXPO 15 With a focus on the importance of high quality materials at GRAPH EXPO 15, Mohawk plans to launch two new substrate lines: Performance Polyester and Pressure Sensitive Select. 

 

Mohawk Performance Polyester is a new digital synthetic film designed for a variety of everyday durable applications. The product line includes 5, 8, 10, and 14mil caliper products, in a 93 bright white shade for printing on dry toner presses.

 

Mohawk announces an expanded line of pressure sensitive substrates, now featuring standard, select and kiss cut collections. With three distinct collections available for a host of end uses, Mohawk Pressure Sensitive products offer a wide range of options for digital labels and signage, including a variety of sizes, calipers, face stocks and adhesive strengths.
