Kyocera Mita America Launches New Wide Format Imaging System, Delivering Exceptional Performance and Value in Single Footprint


Fairfield, New Jersey, May 18, 2009 - Kyocera Mita America, one of the world's leading document imaging companies, today announced the launch of the Kyocera KM-4800w Wide Format Multifunctional Product (MFP). Ideally suited for professionals in industries such as architecture, engineering, education, government and construction, the new KM-4800w provides standard monochrome network printing, scanning and copying functionality for businesses that rely on large format documents as part of their operational workflow.

Designed to give busy professionals a product to help them complete their wide format imaging tasks quickly and cost-effectively, the KM-4800w comes standard with an embedded 2.6GHz print controller, 512MB RAM and an 80GB Hard Disk Drive for fast performance and processing, and 600 x 600 dpi output resolution for crisp printed documents. At 5.8 D Size prints and copies per minute, the KM-4800w can improve output productivity for any environment.

Businesses integrating network scanning for archival and document distribution, the KM-4800w offers monochrome scanning as a standard feature, with an optional network color scan component available when companies need to take advantage of maintaining color information and accuracy with their hardcopy originals.

For departmental and device management, the KM-4800w comes standard with Remote Web Manager, a secure web interface where customers can monitor, manage and configure the print server, print jobs and scanned images, and also features account codes for cost control and tracking. The KM-4800w comes standard with dual 500 foot media rolls up to 36 inches, and a single sheet bypass. Accessories include an optional auto staker capable of holding up to 200 sheets for high-volume environments.
