"Copiers have shifted from standalone devices and are now part of the network infrastructure,” said Keith Kmetz, program director of hardcopy peripherals solutions and services at IDC. “This shift has opened the door to a host of products and services. Kyocera is one vendor who has been at the forefront of this industry shift, providing dealers with a suite of customizable solutions such as KYOcapture which streamlines document workflow and provides organizations with a way to centralize control of workflow and device management.”

Through custom keys on the device operation panel, KYOcapture provides the ability to capture documents and content from Kyocera devices. Additionally, KYOcapture processes documents with leading-edge technologies including OCR, ICR, Forms Recognition and others while routing documents to existing document management systems including Microsoft SharePoint Portal server, Documentum, Interwoven and others. KYOcapture also includes a seamless address book management and synchronization tool for Microsoft Exchange and Lotus Notes/Domino, bi-directional data validation from the device, and an increased level of security

on multifunctional products and printers that utilize LDAP, Novell and Microsoft Windows Security.

Well-suited to the enterprise environment, KYOcapture enables businesses to realize increased efficiencies in their document workflow, as well as related cost savings. In addition, KYOcapture offers the flexibility to be easily adopted by users while maintaining a high level of control and security by administrators and IT managers.

“With multiple clubs located throughout New Jersey we became inundated by paperwork and realized our paperwork flow processes were inefficient and time-consuming,” said Stuart M. Polevoy Chief Executive Officer of CAN DO Fitness, New Jersey’s premiere fitness, health and martial arts club. “When I approached our integrator, Electronic Office Systems, about this problem, they designed a solution with Kyocera’s KYOcapture and Documentum AX5 which will not only reduce the membership contract processing time from days to minutes, it will enable us to store all paperwork electronically, reducing the need for file cabinets and retrieve member information within seconds of a request. All clubs will also have easy access to member records thus improving customer service.”

“Kyocera is committed to the development of software and solutions that improve information management, boost efficiency, and streamline customer workflow operations across an organization,” said Michael Pietrunti, senior vice president of marketing and technical for Kyocera Mita America. “The centerpiece of our solutions strategy is KYOcapture, a tool that provides users reliable and secure workflows based on MFPs to connect key business applications for prompt information processing.”
