FAIRFIELD, N.J. – September 20, 2016 – KYOCERA Document Solutions America, one of the world’s leading document solutions companies, today announced the introduction of the TASKalfa 6052ci Series of Color Multifunctional Products (MFPs). The TASKalfa 6052ci Series consists of four models – 6052ci, 5052ci, 4052ci, and 3552ci – with full-color output up to 55-ppm and a set of technological innovations that represent a giant leap forward.

“We challenge ourselves to keep raising the bar,” said Douglas Cole, Director of Product Marketing, Corporate Marketing Group for KYOCERA Document Solutions America. “Our R&D team, our product designers, our engineers – they delivered a series of devices that’s absolutely world-class.”

The TASKalfa 6052ci Series is designed for medium-sized and large workgroups, those for whom document-related processes represent a significant part of daily business activity. Today, those processes require not only printing from a wide range of desktop and mobile devices, but full integration with document management systems, including scanning, OCR-based conversion, and more.

The TASKalfa 6052ci Series delivers 1200×1200 dpi print resolution through new toner technology and superior Kyocera a-Si drum technology. For companies with greater image quality needs, or particularly complex workflows, there is an optional Fiery® print controller available for four all models.

“Mobile printing and scanning capabilities are another big draw.” continued Cole, “Everyone’s on smartphones and tablets, and they expect printing from those devices to be easy.”

All models provide standard WiFi-Direct and NFC support for Android mobile devices. The entire series is HyPAS-enabled, ready to run Apple AirPrint®, Google Cloud PrintTM, and KYOCERA Mobile Print, as well as dozens of other business applications, including a variety of “connector” apps, which allow seamless integration with many of the most popular third-party applications.

The TASKalfa 6052ci Series supports tiered-color billing, as well as KYOCERA Fleet Services (KFS) – a comprehensive cloud-based monitoring service that allows authorized dealers to handle many maintenance tasks for their customers without time-consuming on-site visits. Through KFS, dealers can anticipate issues and resolve them before they occur, and even update firmware remotely during off-hours, maximizing uptime across the entire fleet.

The user experience has been enhanced for all models, with a tablet-like 9-inch touch-screen interface with 90-degree tilt. There are a wide range of scalable paper-handling and finishing configurations, toner lock capability and an ingenious, eco-friendly toner cartridge replacement system in which empty black toner containers can be re-used as waste toner containers. This system both reduces storage requirements and minimizes landfill waste.

Feature-for-feature, the TASKalfa 6052ci Series is clearly among the very best MFPs on the market today.

Pricing and Availability

The TASKalfa 6052ci Series is available through authorized Kyocera dealers at the manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) of $20,325 for the TASKalfa 6052ci, $15,876 for the TASKalfa 5052ci, $13,758 for the TASKalfa 4052ci, and $10,756 for the TASKalfa 3552i.
