Free, Downloadable Document Management Apps Enhance Mobile bizhub MFP Connectivity
Ramsey, NJ – September 9, 2013 – Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A., Inc. (Konica Minolta) today announces the launch of the PageScope Mobile iOS App version 3.1 and the PageScope Mobile Android App version 2.2. These updated applications offer connectivity to Konica Minolta bizhub® MFPs for select iPad®, iPhone®, and iPod® Touch users, as well as select Android devices with Android OS 2.2, 2.3, 3.1, 3.2, 4.0 and 4.1. The PageScope Mobile Apps are now available for free download from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store respectively.
PageScope Mobile is an application that connects a bizhub MFP with mobile devices, allowing end-users to browse, read, scan and print select documents and images. Once paired using a Wi-Fi connection, PageScope Mobile enables users to utilize their business documents in a variety of creative ways and take advantage of mobility with Apple and Android mobile devices.
The primary enhancement on PageScope Mobile iOS App version 3.1 and the PageScope Mobile Android App version 2.2 is the addition of the QR Code Generator which allows customers to create a QR Code to affix to a compatible Konica Minolta device for quick and easy printer registration. The IT Administrator simply clicks a link and follows a few simple steps to create the QR Code. There is no need for users to enter IP Addresses or manually search for available printers, and there is no breach in security or assistance needed from the IT Department.
