I had a chat with a P4P member and it seems that the "one rate" program is for MFP's and not for Print4Pay.  Unlimited prints are included for the lease.  Not sure of much else other than everything is included in the one price per month.

I did find this on the web last night:

We signed a contract for 5 years to lease a copier. They kept increasing 10% on our lease every year. When we questioned their practice, they said the contract allows them to do it without informing us. It is a very shady and disappointing practice. We are stuck with another 4 months on the lease and can't wait for it to be over. Will never use them again or recommend them to anyone.

I'm not sure if this has anything to do with the "one rate" program, however, if the lease price is escalated by 10% (or more) each month, that could pay for the extras

Another P4P'er contact me yesterday me yesterday and gave me the details for the KM "one rate" program.  There are 27-28 models included in the promo.

Thus the program includes unlimited black and or color for a specified cost per month, ranging from $31 per month to $350 per month depending on the model number.  There is also a cost for the device whether leased or purchased.

If it's a lease it has to be written on a Konica Minolta Premier Finance Premier AdVantage Lease.  Service can not be discounted, unless approved by President of the Direct Channel.

As of right now this seems to be a Pilot program.

If you need to know more, please send me a PM on this site. I will only respond to Premium/VIP members.  Thus, a great reason to access our Premium/VIP membership program.

I'm wondering if it is like phone plans with unlimited minute and data. It's not really unlimited, the carriers just bundle in a minimum usage amount based on averages, then sock you with 'acceptable usage' terms if you consistently use more than your fair share. (Business not Consumer). Like pages, there are no free minutes, only creative marketing concepts.

there are unlimited pages, however, there are many t's & c's on the lease.  The lease also has an escalation charge of 10% per year.  Since the hardware price and the lease price is bundled that 10% on hardware and service rate.

A lease signed for $800 in the first year becomes $880 in the second year, then $968 in the third year, $1,056 in the four year and $1,161 in the final year.

So what's the catch?  Does the contract limit the number of pages per machine segment or only allow so much toner per month?  Do you have a copy of the contract?

There are many snags with the unlimited click program.  Clients need to read the fine print of the sales agreement and the KMBS lease.  The devil is in the details.  BTW, anyone who is a premium/vip member, please fee free to shoot me an email and I will share my marbles with you.
