(PR Web Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Ontario, Canada (PRWEB) December 18, 2012 Konica Minolta Business Solutions (Canada) Ltd. (Konica Minolta) today announces that Prime Data has moved its business to digital press and production print technology with the help of Konica Minolta. Replacing a fleet of small printers with two bizhub® PRESS C7000 Color Digital Presses and two bizhub PRO 1200 Monochrome Production Print Systems from Konica Minolta, Prime Data has met its goal of offering high-quality, variable data marketing communications to customers, and realized improved overall output quality and productivity.

Seeking to become a leader in North America for variable data printing (VDP), Prime Data, a data-driven variable communications and fulfillment company, sought to expand its print fleet in 2010 to address growing volumes. To do this, the company needed a solution that could effectively handle the rich data and broad range of printing needs for its customers. Closely evaluating three major print vendors at the time, Prime Data determined that Konica Minolta could offer the high-quality output, fast speeds, volume and large-scale paper handling that would allow it to meet its customers’ objectives. With continuity and reliability also being important factors, Konica Minolta offered Prime Data an impressive reputation for service and support. Initially installing one bizhub PRESS C7000 and one bizhub PRO 1200 in late 2010, Prime Data has since added one more of each to accommodate its growing volume.

“Konica Minolta’s technologies were an integral part of rebranding ourselves as a leading provider of VDP services in Canada and the bizhub PRESS C7000 has not only allowed us to drastically improve our print deliverables, but has also expanded our business by growing our short run print volume due to the improved overall quality,” said Steve Falk, president of Prime Data. “By partnering with Konica Minolta, we have eliminated issues with downtime and redundancy to improve the overall bottom line of our business.” With the implementation of the Konica Minolta digital presses and production print systems, Prime Data now offers larger-scale media output to clients, full-color window envelope printing, and a range of other new services to meet the needs of their customers. Prime Data also has improved redundancy to turnaround print jobs in faster times and meet customer deadlines 100 percent of the time. Konica Minolta’s exceptional customer service and technicians have also helped reduce Prime Data’s downtime by keeping the devices in optimum working condition and fixing issues immediately.

“The bizhub PRESS C7000 and bizhub PRO 1200 technologies have allowed Prime Data to become extremely competitive in the VDP marketplace by giving them the confidence to promise high-quality work with exceptional VDP capabilities in a fast turnaround time that is difficult to match,” said Grant Hume, executive vice president, Customer Experience, Konica Minolta Business Solutions (Canada) Ltd.
