PHILADELPHIA, Apr. 20—Today at the AIIM Expo + Conference, Eastman Kodak Company and ibml announced intentions to expand their global reseller and worldwide service relationships. KODAK Service and Support will also continue to provide coverage for the entire portfolio of ibml document imaging scanners and software packages in the United States (U.S.) and Canada.

Since 2005, Kodak’s Document Imaging business and ibml successfully established a joint reseller program complemented with KODAK Service and Support to serve customers in Kodak’s EAMER region, which includes countries in Europe, Middle East and Africa. Plans are underway to expand the reseller and service and support network to serve customers in Kodak’s Asia Pacific Region (APR), which includes China, Australia, and countries in Asia and the Pacific Rim. Kodak and ibml expect to finalize the global relationships by end of the second quarter 2010.

“The expansion of Kodak’s relationship with ibml underscores our past joint success. It also emphasizes the dedication and commitment of both companies to provide a comprehensive document capture portfolio to customers worldwide,” said Tony Barbeau, General Manager, Document Imaging, Business Solutions and Services Group, Eastman Kodak Company. “Kodak provides its customers with choices that help to more efficiently capture and manage information through the automation of key business processes.”

Kodak’s portfolio of document capture solutions includes a range of innovative and award winning document scanners from personal desktop to high speed production—many featuring Kodak’s respected Perfect Page Image Processing Technology—with a myriad of capture software capabilities being available including KODAK Capture Desktop and Capture Pro software. ibml document capture solutions include industry leading IMAGETRAC inline document scanners—designed for vertical applications in financial services, insurance, healthcare, mailrooms, service bureaus and government that require inline data capture—along with ibml’s SOFTTRAC and DOCNETICS capture and management software packages.

“ibml and Kodak have a synergistic and complementary interest in helping end users streamline their information capture operations to gain greater productivity, make business decisions faster and improve customer satisfaction,” said Robert Sbrissa, Executive Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Business Development, ibml. “We are pleased to be expanding our joint reseller and service network to reach more end users across the globe in automating their most demanding document scanning and inline data capture applications to drive their transactional document management.”

In addition to the geographic expansion agreements being finalized, both companies announced that KODAK Service and Support will continue to provide break/fix service and support for ibml’s document scanner and software portfolio in the U.S. and Canada. KODAK Service and Support began coverage for the ibml portfolio in 2003 and the announcement extends the agreement.

“We are pleased to continue providing service and support for ibml customers,” said Bernadette Lodico, General Manager, KODAK Service and Support, Business Solutions and Services Group, Eastman Kodak Company. “With more than 1,000 field engineers in the U.S. and Canada, customers can count on continuing to receive the high caliber attention to their service and support needs from our award winning organization.”
