Japan wants hard copy firms out of China
-The South China Morning Post reports that the Japanese government is offering a group of 87 Japanese firms, including MFP/printer OEMs, subsidies worth some $653 million to relocated their facilities in China to Japan and Southeast Asian countries
- The strategy comes in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, which temporarily shut down many factories in China, disrupting supply chains, with the Japanese government wanting Japanese companies to have a more diversified supply chain.
