Barracuda Networks Inc. has announced that its Intronis MSP Solutions now include Barracuda Essentials for Office 365, a suite of cloud services that combines email security, archiving and backup in a single solution. Barracuda Essentials enables MSP partners to provide protection for customers in Office 365 environments against data loss resulting from targeted email attacks as well as recovery after a data loss event.
Available now to MSPs in the United States, Barracuda Essentials for Office 365 provides vital multi-layered security, archiving and backup to help customers prepare for, migrate to and rely on Office 365 with confidence. The package enhances Microsoft's built-in features with added email security and Advanced Threat Detection.

Enterprise-Grade Advanced Threat Detection
Featuring Barracuda's Email Security Service and Advanced Threat Detection (ATD), Barracuda Essentials for Office 365 offers a comprehensive and cost-effective way for MSPs to protect their customers using Microsoft's cloud-based productivity suite against a broad range of email-based threats including phishing, zero-day vulnerabilities, malware and spam.
Advanced Threat Detection provides an important security layer that scans email attachments in most commonly used file formats and compares them against a cryptographic hash database. Files of unknown status are neutralized in a sandbox environment within the Barracuda Cloud to observe behaviors and the results are then pushed into the Barracuda Real Time System to provide protection for all customers. Emails found to contain malicious content are quarantined and administrators and users can be notified. If no malicious content is found, regular mail processing rules apply.
Extra Protection With Archiving and Cloud-to-Cloud Backup
In addition, with Barracuda Essentials for Office 365, customers can archive their emails using policy-based retention and search capabilities. This allows MSPs to easily and effectively help customers meet compliance requirements and address eDiscovery requests. MSPs can also automate the backup and recovery of Exchange Online emails and attachments, as well as OneDrive for Business files, to protect against data loss, corruption and accidental deletion.
