(NYSE:IGI) has launched four new multifunction products that further its overall strategy to deliver value-added, cost-effective digital solutions for every office. Recently recognized by J.D. Complimenting its complete line of award winning products are the im4720/im5520 multifunction copier / printers, which bring professional document production and information distribution capabilities to mid volume environments, and the ix2700/ix2701 MFPs that offer stand alone or network printing, book copying, and scan abilities to small workgroups or departments.

The im4720 and im5520 join the recently introduced im3510, im4510, im6530, and im8130 to provide a choice of nine black & white and color multifunction solutions operating between 30 - 85ppm to meet the unique needs of every customer. The im4720 is a 47-page-per-minute system with a maximum monthly volume of 250,000 impressions. The im5520 is a 55-page-per-minute system with a maximum monthly volume of 350,000 impressions.
These units are also expected to be popular with specific vertical markets. Finance, Banking, and Legal environments will find the 3,400 Large Capacity Tray with Legal Kit attractive for producing long runs of contracts, insurance, and financial documents. Two-point top margin stapling is another application with high utility in these markets for binding wills, mortgage applications, and portfolio statements. LDAP support makes e-mail recipient selection fast and accurate for corporations, educational institutions, and government agencies. In Healthcare, the im4720/im5520's Scan-to capabilities facilitate the secure transmission of patient records for compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA).

The ix2700 and ix2701 MFPs will bring efficiency to the office by allowing companies to consolidate hardware, supplies and service costs into a device with printing at 17 pages-per-minute and 600 dpi resolution, including PCL6(R) and PostScript3(R) print emulation, and automatic duplexing. Adding to the units' versatility is sophisticated color scanning capabilities. Additionally, the ix2700 offers 33.6 Kbps Facsimile, PC Faxing software that lets users fax directly from the desktop, plus optional Internet Faxing that allows scanning of documents directly from the document feeder to as many as 390 designated e-mail addresses.
