IKON Expands Comprehensive Managed Document Services Offering to Leverage Its Suite of Leading Technology and Services

MALVERN, Pa. January 28, 2010 — IKON Office Solutions, a Ricoh company, and an established leader in managed and professional services in both the office and production environments, today announced the expansion of its comprehensive managed document services offering. IKON Managed Document Services brings together IKON’s strong technology expertise, services and tools to optimize the way document management fleets are deployed and managed, helping organizations reduce total cost of ownership, maximize efficiency, address sustainability, enhance security, and improve business processes. The offering aligns with Ricoh’s Managed Document Services program, providing direct access to global capabilities. Building on Ricoh’s “MPS and Beyond” approach, the solution leverages the best practices of Ricoh and IKON to deliver a comprehensive solution that includes a technology platform to manage a multi-vendor fleet, combined with years of experience in solution design and system integration.

IKON also announced today the appointment of Terrie Campbell as Vice President, Managed Document Services to lead IKON’s managed document services strategy. In this role, Campbell will support strategic development, technology investments and operational excellence for IKON Managed Document Services. Campbell has more than 15 years experience in leading IKON’s managed services programs, most recently serving as IKON’s Vice President of Managed Services Operations.

IKON Managed Document Services brings together IKON’s full suite of services and experienced resources to offer customers end-to-end fleet management, consulting and business process support services across a broad continuum of customer needs and environments. With its technical service force, team of professional services consultants and analysts, production and data center specialists, and managed services professionals, IKON helps customers gain solid control over devices, as well as an improved understanding of how these devices support day-to-day and strategic business functions through a strategic approach that includes:

Total Fleet Management – a range of baseline support for deploying and managing diverse fleets of output devices, including supplies, service and maintenance (preventive and restorative), and management reporting. IKON services and supports multi-vendor environments through the use of unique management tool sets, including the IKON TRAC SolutionSM and Ricoh @Remote, providing visibility into current spending and usage to help maximize return on investment and reduce total cost of ownership. The IKON TRAC Solution also supports a seamless integration of existing customer fleet assets from multiple manufacturers into IKON’s automated dispatch system, and provides for complete asset management and consumable inventory management.

Intelligent Device Rationalization – a strategic assessment of current assets, business processes and workflows to help organizations achieve a balanced deployment utilizing the right device at the right time. IKON deploys management tools like IKON TRAC Solution to provide online controls and enterprise-wide management reporting to drive results.

Optimized Business Processes – a consultative approach to design, plan and implement improved business processes through IKON’s professional services team. IKON consultants analyze current processes, and design, plan and implement process improvements using document management applications and advanced workflow solutions. IKON also provides on-site management of document processes through its managed services team, as well as off-site production and imaging through its network of national document processing centers.
