ARMONK, N.Y., Nov. 22, 2016 /PRNewswire/ — IBM (NYSE: IBM) today announced that Gartner, Inc. has recognized IBM as a leader in the 2016 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Managed Mobility Services (MMS) for the third consecutive year1. IBM is the only IT services organization that has been in the Leaders quadrant three years in a row.

For the report, Gartner evaluated 14 vendors, recognizing IBM as a leader based on its completeness of vision and ability to execute. IBM’s market leading IT and business consulting services are dedicated to bringing mobile capabilities to businesses by helping them select the right technologies for their unique needs in order to spur adoption and drive positive business outcomes.

IBM’s mobility services are a part of the IBM MobileFirst portfolio, which enables clients to build and deploy their mobile applications from the ground up, run their applications on the IBM Cloud, protect and manage mobile infrastructure and engage their customers in context. That means all interactions can be personalized based on data, processed with added security across touchpoints, and delivered in a well-designed user experience. Additionally, IBM’s global partnership with Apple helps to unlock the full potential of enterprise mobility across industries by allowing users to select among operating systems and devices.

“IBM’s consistent investment in services, software, and enterprise mobility management personnel allows us to effectively service our customers on their journey to becoming more effective mobile, digital enterprises,” said Rich Esposito, General Manager, IBM Global Mobility Services. “The positive feedback from our clients lets us know that we’re on the right track.”

“Gartner evaluated the providers on the quality and efficacy of their processes, methodologies, systems and personnel related to managing corporate mobility. Gartner also judged each provider’s execution in the market based on the evidence presented to Gartner analysts through formal presentations and ongoing communications from the providers outside the Magic Quadrant process. In addition, Gartner conducted a reference survey in which the providers’ customers were asked to give feedback related to point services (for example, help desk and release management), and on the vendors’ global expertise and level of skill in the delivery of services.” Feedback from client interviews was also factored in.

In June, Garner recognized IBM as a Leader for the third consecutive year, and was positioned in the report for the fifth year in a row, for the Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Mobility Management Suites2
