This is probably being done already by someone, somehere. With the SAAS model now taking hold for document management software, and increasing use of MS365, why can't we or are we offering a service similar to Managed Print Solutions only with documents.

BTW this would only be for smaller accounts with 1-25 employees or maybe even a TAD larger.

so, here's my thought, with SaaS document management software becoming more the norm. I've seen many customers back away from DMS due to lack of knowledge, lack of talent, lack of funds and lack of desire to have someone in the office to manage the program. Most smaller companies do not have an IT staff so they outsource.

Why not rent the SaaS DMS software to the customer on yearly basis and then manage the uploads of scanned documents for them? We can consult on the indexing scheme, the customer will scan documents to the a folder or hot folder and we can then remote in, index and upload to the DMS system.

We can either bill a minimum, black time or a document charge. I'm thinking of selling 52 hours of block time a year, where we would log in once a week.

It could be similar to a Managed Print Program, however we would be Managing the Documents.

Thoughts, comments, ideas?
