Curious how other dealers handle customers who won't upgrade machines that are 10 to 15+ years old?  Do you continue the service billing to the bitter end?  Do you cut them off?  Do you raise their rate into the stratosphere.  Make them chargeable?

Don't know if its just us but we have a large number of customers still running machines that are 12, 13, 14 and even over 15 years old who won't upgrade the machines because in their mind the machines run great and quite frankly they do run well.  We are profitable on the contracts but now we are running into parts and supply shortages for these dinosaurs.

This never seemed to be an issue years ago because the equipment back then didn't run nearly as well.  Now the machines seem to run forever if they are properly cared for.

Curious what other dealers are doing.
