Speaking of Green Initiatives, we all know that Ricoh has a recycling program for all of their cartridges and that the Compatible toner manufacturers will accept single-use OEM cartridges. The difficult thing we are trying to get our hands around is what to do with Compatible/recycled cartridges since the only option seems to be to selling them to a "Drill & Fill" operation.
Most manufacturers (in addition to Ricoh) have some form of Cartridge Recycling / Return Program these days. As for Compatible Supplies (non-OEM), I have heard that certain companies have similar Programs to return Cartridges, depending on the company. Not that I trust all of them are truly disposing of materials in an environmentally friendly manner.
another piece would be to discuss energy efficiency. Your system might use less $/yr in energy costs, sure the dollars aren't huge but in a deal where there are 5 serious bidders everything counts. If you're selling Ricoh they have that TCO/proposal builder that can show an accurate comparison to competitive equipment.
