— /PRNewswire/ -- WidePoint Corporation (NYSE Amex: WYY), a specialist in wireless mobility management, information technology life cycle support and cybersecurity solutions, today announced its inclusion in Gartner Inc.'s first Magic Quadrant for Managed Mobility Services (MMS), defined as the information technology and process services that are required to plan, procure, provision, activate, manage, and support mobile devices, network services, and mobile applications. Gartner estimates that the worldwide number of devices to be placed under management of external service providers (ESPs) will grow by more than 50%, with preliminary MMS market size forecasted at $3.4 billion by 2016.

During the first quarter of 2013, Gartner surveyed 36 potential Magic Quadrant participants. Gartner then interviewed the 18 service providers that qualified for inclusion in this Magic Quadrant and the 106 client references provided by the Magic Quadrant participants to gain their input for this research.
