FUJIFILM FINISHES STRONG AT PRINTING UNITED 2019

Global audience experienced new inkjet innovations

Hanover Park, Ill., October 30, 2019 – As a Diamond Sponsor of the inaugural PRINTING United trade show with a dominant presence, Fujifilm ended the three-day event with multiple signed contracts for its innovative solutions.

“Fujifilm experienced great success in Dallas,” said Todd Zimmerman, division president, FUJIFILM North America Corporation, Graphic Systems Division, and corporate vice president, FUJIFILM Global Graphic Systems. “Fujifilm’s inkjet technology truly made an impact with attendees from around the world, and our booth saw tremendous traffic. We are very pleased to be shipping the OnsetX3 HS with three-quarter automation, the Acuity Ultra, and the J Press 750S from the show floor directly to locations across North America for immediate installations. Additionally, three Acuity Select 26 UV inkjet flatbed presses were sold at the show as well.”

Industry-leading inkjet technology in Fujifilm’s nearly 5,000 square foot booth included:

OnsetX3 HS with three-quarter automation

Today’s retail segment print providers are experiencing the “need for speed” expectations. The Inca OnsetX3 HS made its global debut at PRINTING United, and is the world’s fastest high-quality wide format UV flatbed printer, capable of printing in excess of 15,500 square feet per hour (283 beds per hour) becoming the retail segment solution. Its three sets of CMYK ink channels plus the choice of white or orange, allows print businesses and entrepreneurs the capacity, capability and flexibility to grow market share and confidently move into new segments. The powerful and market-leading OnsetX flatbed series now includes a range of enhancements that result in much higher print speeds and machine utilization, and therefore higher productivity. Compatible with Inca’s range of application specific robotic handling systems, and incorporating ‘30 second’ job set up and ‘single cycle’ printing mode, the new HS range is set to deliver another ‘step change’ in high volume wide format inkjet printing – something Inca Digital and Fujifilm have become renowned for over the past several years. Combined with Fujifilm’s Uvijet OX ink, the OnsetX HS creates competitive advantage for Fujifilm’s customers.

J Press 750S

Awarded SGIA Product of the Year 2019 – Digital Press, the new J Press 750S addresses today’s print market’s challenges with shorter run lengths, increased variable data work and immediate turn around expectations. The J Press 750S is the fastest full-color B2 production digital inkjet sheetfed press on the market. Additionally, prior to PRINTING United, Idealliance announced the J Press 750S obtained the Digital Press Inkjet System Certification and ISO/PAS 15339 System Certification; and raised the bar in earning Master Elite status capable of achieving all seven of the globally recognized ISO/PAS 15339 Reference Print Conditions. “Fujifilm’s J Press 750S  is one of only two presses to ever reach this level of certification achievement; the other is Fujifilm’s J Press 720S,” said Ed Pierce, product marketing manager, FUJIFILM North America Corporation, Graphic Systems Division. Offering press speeds of 3,600 sheets per hour, for both static and variable jobs, and featuring a larger sheet size of 23” x 29.5” and better than offset quality, the J Press 750S has become a print provider’s solution.

Acuity Ultra

Print service providers seeking a cost-effective high-speed superwide UV roll-to-roll printer with near photographic quality have been highly engaged with the Acuity Ultra. Available in 126” (3.2 m) and 197” (5 m) width models, it delivers impressive output for luxury brands, optimizing profitability for applications where high-impact, near-photographic quality is required. With a 3.5 pl drop size ensuring the highest possible quality, the substantial size of the superwide format, multi-roll potential and impressive speed allows print service providers the ability to profitably create exhibition graphics, point-of-purchase displays, high-value graphic art, indoor backlit displays and more. With the introduction of the 2x (double) CMYK models of the Acuity Ultra for maximum output speeds, Out-of-Home applications with longer viewing distances can be produced at remarkable volumes.

Acuity LED 40 Series

The Acuity series created the flatbed inkjet category, and Fujifilm’s dedication to enhancing quality and flexibility continues with the new Acuity LED 40 Series. With instant-on LED curing and production capacity speeds up to 538 square feet per hour, the Acuity LED 40 Series of mid-volume UV flatbed printers are an innovative solution for customers in the sign and display graphics industry, offering superior print quality and application versatility with rigid or flexible substrates. With up to eight color channels, including the options of white, clear, and light inks, the Acuity LED 40 Series offers the versatility of printing high-quality jobs, as well as creative applications, enabling increased profits. The ability to print on rigid, flexible and even roll substrates gives print providers additional opportunities to expand their client base.

ColorPath® SYNC Brand Color Optimizer

One of the most accurate solutions on the market to manage color across multiple platforms, Fujifilm’s ColorPath SYNC allows print service providers to quickly determine if the desired brand color is accurate and if it’s in or out of gamut for a particular print condition.

Educational Sessions

“Elevating Your Applications to a Higher Profit,” featuring Becky McConnell, segment marketing manager, wide format inkjet, and “How to Grow Your Business – Profitably?” presented by Skip Powers, senior advisor. A large number of attendees were present at each session.
