TOKYO, Aug 11 Asia Pulse - Fuji Xerox Co. announced that it intends to set up offices in Tokyo, Sydney, Singapore and Shanghai in September to offer design and planning proposals to help corporate customers promote their goods and services through direct mail and catalogs, hopefully using the company's digital printers and other products.

The services will be provided in cooperation with local firms that specialize in marketing and other business areas, according to officials of the Fuji Photo Film Co. (TSE: 4901) subsidiary.

The new business is part of the major copying machine maker's strategy to expand into the printing market, where the company plans to sell high-speed printers currently under development.

In June, Fuji Xerox started marketing on-demand printing systems developed by Xerox Corp. of the U.S. The systems are capable of producing 100 colour copies a minute.
