FTP Scanning

I have a very large client that wants to scan via FTP from one 2022 to another. He doesn't care if it is in PDF or a raw TIFF but he doesn't want it to be routed through a server or workstation.
We are able to FTP between the machines but the doc doesn't come out in a reconizable format
EXAMPLE:
3rd floor 2022 @ the Nurses station scanning directly to the Pharmacy 2022.

This is from the book, can you scan to FTP and then access via pc and then print. Not sure if the system can do what you are asking:

Scan-to-FTP (via File Transfer Protocol)
Scan-to-FTP operates under the same principles as Scan-to-Folder. The primary difference is that
Scan-to-FTP expands file sharing possibilities to mixed (combinations of Windows, Macintosh and
UNIX workstations) and wide area networks (WANs). As with Scan-to-Folder, there are no delivery
server or software requirements. To scan documents to an FTP site, the user can manually enter the
path to the folder on the FTP server or program the folder in the local MFP address book. The file is
uploaded directly to the FTP server, where it waits until another client on the network downloads the
file to their PC. Like Scan-to-Folder, users can send documents up to 2.0GB using their existing network infrastructure.

If you install the fax option, you would be able to accomplish the same thing with Internet Fax (sending from one to another, with out any charges).

How does the Aficio 2022/2027 Series do it?
System requirements and specifications
Hardcopy originals scanned into the Aficio 2022/2027 Series memory for sending as an Internet fax
are scanned as Letter-size images at a resolution of 200 x 200 dpi (200 x 100 dpi may also be
selected) and sent as a TIFF-F attachment. Documents as large as 11” x 17” will be scanned and
automatically reduced to fit on Letter-size paper. Destinations of other Internet fax capable machines
can either be stored in the system’s address book or entered ad-hoc. The user simply selects the
desired destination(s), and the fax is sent over existing network data lines. Both the sending and
receiving machine must have an E-mail account and a user name registered in the device to enable
Internet fax functionality.
To enable Internet Fax functionality on the Aficio 2022/2027 Series, both the Fax Option Type 2027
and the Printer/Scanner Kit Type 2027 are required.
