After Art's blog post about the changes in our industry I ran into one of these relics yesterday doing an install for a new customer. I haven't seen one in quite some time now. It still works but I wonder if the customer can find the thermal paper that goes in it. They just moved into this new building and it was there from the previous tenant. She said they just use it as a marker board and didn't even know it would print. She thought that it was some of the latest and greatest technology and then I told her it was about 20 years old. She laughed and laughed and said now you can see how basic we are with our technology. She lost her mind when I printed out the things they had written on it.
