RICOH INTRODUCES ADVANCED AFICIO 3025/3030 MULTIFUNCTIONAL SERIES FOR HIGHER PRODUCTIVITY AND ENHANCED SECURITY
First All-In-One Document Management Hardware and Application Service Hits Market
West Caldwell, NJ, October 12, 2005 – Ricoh Corporation, the leading provider of digital office equipment, has launched the Ricoh® Aficio® 3025/3030 Series of digital imaging black and white Multifunction Products (MFPs).
Built on strong features from the Aficio 2022/2027 MFPs, the Aficio 3025/3030 has many new features and upgrades. With faster print speeds, the Aficio 3025/3030 are able to produce up to 30 ppm at 600 dpi. The 3025/3030 Series also offers a larger RAM of 128MB (Std)/384MB (Max) verses 64MB/192MB respectively. To reduce network traffic the Aficio 3025/3030 features Scan to URL, which improves information sharing by sending a URL link to access a document rather then an entire file, and PDF Direct Print, which allows a user to print a PDF file without opening and expanding the document. Other printing features include store print and hold print, which holds the print job until the sender releases the job at the control panel – an ideal solution for printing confidential documents.
Beyond boosting productivity, safeguarding sensitive information is a priority for organizations in both the public and private sector, from small and medium businesses to Fortune 500s and government agencies. Understanding the importance of this function, Ricoh has outfitted the Aficio 3025/3030 Series with Network Windows and LDAP authentication as well as basic authentication at the control panel that ensures only authorized personnel can access the device.

The Ricoh Aficio 3025/3030 are available in a variety of configurations, including the Spi version that is equipped with Ricoh’s embedded on-line document management solution DocumentMall. Enhancing the efficiency of managing electronic documents, DocumentMall allows users to securely store, edit, share and retrieve documents and files from their desktops via the Internet, and securely scan hardcopy documents directly from the Ricoh 3025/3030 MFPs, making the device a true turnkey solution. DocumentMall also creates a secure environment to share digital images by automatically encrypting documents scanned from the MFP – a feature not offered by standard scan-to-email functions. Accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week, DocumentMall enables employees to work on documents from remote locations and in real-time. Possessing advanced search and indexing software and unlimited scalability, DocumentMall can be used by businesses of any size as a versatile resource.
