I have a customer that uses the Danyl touch pad counters that is starting to give them alot of problems and they cannot get any support. I recommended Equitrac which I have never used and I looking for some feedback from other vendors if they ever use Equitac's and how is there software and hardware.

Have used them once. My customer has installed the software and copy counters. They have not complained about the software, as a matter of fact the first call I got was yesterday when copy controller went down.

My customer called Equitrac and told them that they had to ship the controller out and then wait for it to be repaired, replaced and then shipped back to the customer. Customer was annoyed that it may take one - 2 weeks to have the controller operational. Plus they stated that the controller is out of warranty and they would have to pay.

Other than that things are ok. can anyone tell me what is wrong with the equitrac controller when all it states "booting"

I think it means the battery, for back up is dead.
We had the same problem with Hecon units.
Hecon's sevice is no better than Equitrac either.
