Anyone every heard of envelopes developed for ink like the comcolor?

Not with the sugar cane paper. We run Vellum finish envelopes on the one in out print shop. Its important that they be edge glued rather than having the v-fold across the center. The results are just OK......like everything else on the great white elephant.
We had our do or die moment today at the in house CRD. It was looking real bad for a while. We then tried the .eps file with the ps rip, played with the contrast and brightness and we had an image print that was more than acceptable to the print manager.
We're not done yet, has to go before a managers board and if approved it goes to the exec board. They want to do away with all of the presses and everything else that goes with it. Comcolor is going to be used for envelopes only. The company had a giagantic green initiative so we're keeping our fingers crossed!
